Mike resides in Anthem and has lived in the precinct since 2005. He is a graduate of Willamette University (Salem, OR), with a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Economics. Mike started his Law Enforcement career as a Sworn Reserve Sergeant with the Portland Police Bureau. After attending the Police Academy in Portland, he was certified as a peace officer through the State of Oregon’s Board on Police Standards and Training, trained and experienced in all aspects of police work.

As Mike is a strong believer of giving back to the community, he is currently President of a 501c(3) organization “Arizona Community Law and Safety.” The organization is the parent group to two law enforcement volunteer auxiliary chapters. The first chapter is the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office North Valley Posse, which Mike is currently the Commander. The North Valley Posse is a community- based Posse that volunteers its services to all the residents in Maricopa County, focusing on the North Valley. Posse members and groups purchase all of their own equipment in order to volunteer. This equipment can cost between $3,000 and $20,000 per member. Posse members handle many tasks that help deputies stay safe (riding with deputies, or backing them up on calls) and stay in their district (transporting prisoners or securing crime scenes.) The parent company, “Arizona Community Law and Safety,” is also in the process of setting up another chapter the “Arizona Rangers North Valley Company”. The mission of the Arizona Rangers is to render, when called upon by any Federal, State, County or Local Law Enforcement Authority, such law enforcement assistance as may be required. Mike is a co-founding Command Officer of this new group.

Constables attend to local justice courts with the same legal authority as the County Sheriff. Primary duties are executing writs of restitution (eviction) and serving orders of protection, civil and criminal subpoenas. Mike is well versed in writs of restitution, as he is considered an expert in Multi-family rental management. He has been awarded the prestigious “Certified Property Manager” designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry, giving him the experience to deal humanely and fairly with the rental residents that he comes into contact with on a daily basis..

Today, Mike wants to serve as your constable.
